WFCO WF8740AD 8700 Series RV Battery Charger Power Center, 40 AmpExclusive to WFCO Converters, Power Centers, and MBAs feature new Patent Pending technology that will DETECT Lead Acid or Lithium Ion batteries and AUTOMATICALLY change the charging profile based on the battery. RV owners will no longer need to change out an entire converter or operate a manual switch to properly charge batteries.8700 Series converters provide a highly reliable nominal 13.6 volts DC with or without a battery, and no extra filtering is required. WFCO's three-stage battery charging results in longer battery life, and is totally automatic. Nominal voltage output modes are a 13.2 volts DC RANGE "float" mode, 13.6 range "absorption" mode, and a 14.4 volts DC range "bulk" mode, which ensures longer battery life. Short-circuit and reverse polarity protections provide further reliability and peace of mind. The cooling fan for the WF-8725, WF-8735 and WF-8740 operates only when needed and ensures quiet operation. Every model is FCC Class B compliant, which means that the converters do not cause interference with televisions, radios or other signals. The WF-8735 and WF-8740 models bring you the convenience of built-in AC/DC distribution with a 30-amp main AC breaker and total of up to five 20-amp branch AC circuits.
